Welcome to Sauro Data Connect

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Sauro Data Connect's website, mobile applications, APIs, wallet services, bill payment services, and all related products and services offered through our platform.

By creating an account, accessing, or using any Sauro Data Connect service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use our services.

1. Eligibility

To use Sauro Data Connect services, you must provide accurate and complete information during registration and comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We may restrict or decline access to our services where information provided is inaccurate, misleading, incomplete, or cannot be verified.

2. Account Registration and Security

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their account credentials, PINs, passwords, API keys, and other authentication information. You are responsible for all activities carried out through your account unless you notify Sauro Data Connect of unauthorized access. Sauro Data Connect reserves the right to request identity verification or additional documentation where necessary for security, fraud prevention, regulatory, or compliance purposes.

3. Wallet Funding

• Wallet balances may be funded through payment methods approved and made available on the platform.
• Funds must originate from lawful sources.
• Fraudulent, unauthorized, or suspicious deposits may be reversed or placed on hold.
• Transactions or accounts under investigation may be temporarily restricted.
• Users must not use the wallet for unlawful financial activities.
• Sauro Data Connect may request additional information concerning the source of funds where required.

4. Digital Payment and Bill Payment Services

Sauro Data Connect may provide digital payment and electronic service products including, but not limited to:

• Data Bundle Purchases
• Airtime Recharge
• Electricity Bill Payments
• Cable TV Subscriptions
• Educational Pins and Examination Services
• Airtime-to-Cash Services
• API and Developer Services
• Other digital products and payment services introduced on the platform

Users are solely responsible for providing accurate transaction information, including phone numbers, meter numbers, smart card numbers, account numbers, examination details, and other required information. Sauro Data Connect is not responsible for losses resulting from incorrect information supplied by a user.

5. Transaction Processing, Failed Transactions and Refunds

Where a transaction fails but payment has been successfully deducted or confirmed, Sauro Data Connect may investigate the transaction and process a valid reversal or refund where applicable. Refunds or reversals are subject to the nature of the transaction and the policies of relevant third-party service providers. Services that have been successfully delivered generally cannot be refunded solely because incorrect information was supplied by the user. Where a transaction remains pending, users may be required to wait for confirmation from the relevant service provider before a reversal can be processed.

6. Pricing and Service Charges

Prices, service charges, commissions, transaction fees, and applicable taxes may vary depending on the service being purchased. Sauro Data Connect reserves the right to update prices and charges at any time. The applicable price or charge displayed or communicated at the time of a transaction shall apply, subject to correction of obvious errors.

7. Prohibited Activities

Users must not use Sauro Data Connect for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized activities, including:

• Creating multiple accounts to abuse promotions or platform benefits.
• Money laundering or fraudulent transactions.
• Using stolen, unauthorized, or compromised payment instruments.
• Attempting unauthorized access to our systems or accounts.
• Uploading malicious software, viruses, or harmful code.
• Automated scraping, excessive requests, or API abuse.
• Impersonation or identity fraud.
• Manipulating transactions, balances, or system processes.
• Using the platform for activities prohibited under Nigerian law.

Violation of these provisions may result in account restriction, suspension, termination, transaction reversal, or referral to relevant authorities.

8. API Usage

Developers and businesses using Sauro Data Connect APIs must:

• Keep API keys and credentials confidential.
• Implement appropriate security controls.
• Use APIs only for lawful and authorized purposes.
• Follow applicable API documentation, limits, and technical requirements.
• Avoid activities that negatively affect platform stability or performance.

Sauro Data Connect may suspend or terminate API access where misuse, abuse, security risks, or violations of these Terms are detected.

9. Third-Party Service Providers

Some services available through Sauro Data Connect may depend on telecommunications operators, banks, payment processors, electricity distribution companies, cable television providers, examination bodies, aggregators, or other third-party providers. The availability, processing time, pricing, and successful completion of such services may depend on these third parties. Sauro Data Connect will make reasonable efforts to resolve transaction issues but cannot guarantee the uninterrupted availability or performance of third-party services.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain reliable and uninterrupted access to our services. However, temporary interruptions may occur because of:

• Scheduled maintenance.
• Network failures.
• Internet connectivity problems.
• Third-party provider downtime.
• System upgrades or technical issues.
• Security incidents.
• Power or infrastructure failures.
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to restore affected services as soon as practicable.

11. Anti-Fraud and Compliance

Sauro Data Connect maintains measures designed to prevent fraud, unauthorized transactions, abuse, and other prohibited activities. We reserve the right to:

• Monitor transactions for suspicious activity.
• Request additional verification or documentation.
• Delay, restrict, reverse, or decline suspicious transactions where permitted.
• Suspend or restrict accounts pending investigation.
• Cooperate with banks, payment processors, telecommunications providers, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, and other authorized institutions where legally required.

12. Account Suspension and Termination

Sauro Data Connect may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate an account where:

• These Terms and Conditions are violated.
• Fraudulent or suspicious activity is detected.
• False or misleading information has been provided.
• The account is being used for unlawful purposes.
• There is a security or compliance concern.
• Suspension or termination is required by law or a competent authority.

Where appropriate and legally permissible, users may be notified of the reason for a restriction or termination.

13. Intellectual Property

All platform software, branding, logos, designs, interfaces, content, documentation, trademarks, and other intellectual property belonging to Sauro Data Connect remain the property of Sauro Data Connect or their respective owners. Users may not reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit any protected component of the platform without appropriate authorization.

14. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of Sauro Data Connect is also subject to our Privacy Policy. We may collect and process information necessary for account creation, identity verification, transaction processing, service delivery, fraud prevention, security, regulatory compliance, analytics, and customer support. Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable Nigerian data protection laws and our Privacy Policy.

15. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and current information.
• Keep account credentials secure.
• Review transaction details before confirming payments.
• Promptly report unauthorized transactions or suspected account compromise.
• Use the platform only for lawful purposes.
• Comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sauro Data Connect shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or other losses arising from:

• Third-party service provider failures.
• Telecommunications or internet network failures.
• Delays outside our reasonable control.
• Incorrect information supplied by users.
• Unauthorized access resulting from compromised user credentials.
• Temporary service interruptions.
• Events beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Nigerian law.

17. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, users agree to indemnify and hold Sauro Data Connect, its officers, employees, agents, and service partners harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from the user's unlawful use of the platform, violation of these Terms, fraud, negligence, or infringement of another person's rights.

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Users and Sauro Data Connect agree to make reasonable efforts to resolve complaints and disputes through customer support before pursuing formal legal remedies. Nothing in this section prevents either party from exercising any legal right or remedy available under applicable Nigerian law.

19. Changes to These Terms

Sauro Data Connect reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updated Terms will become effective when published on our website or otherwise communicated to users. Continued use of Sauro Data Connect services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
